Hey TNC Fam! 🙂
Well, I’m back on my green smoothie kick. I ventured into the world of green smoothies a few months back. I’d normally make them a couple of times a week for breakfast or as a quick snack in the afternoon. I’ve decided to kick it up a notch and make it a part of my daily diet. My main goal is to add more plant-based foods to my diet and green smoothies are a great way to increase your intake of fruits and veggies. The health benefits are endless and they also can aid in weight loss. Since I’ll be making them just about every day preparation is a MUST. Each Sunday I plan to chop up all of my fruits and veggies, and place them in individual bags for each day of the week. This week I’m rocking with a mixture of my favorites. I loaded each bag with a mixture of some or all of the fruits and veggies listed below.
Smoothie Ingredients:
- spinach spring mix (leafy greens)
- pineapples
- apples
- carrots
- cucumbers
- bananas
- strawberries
- ginger
- hemp seeds
- coconut water
- honey
The preparation makes my green smoothie mission sooooo much easier. I grab a bag of fruit/veggie mix, pop it in the blender, add about 1 1/2 cups of coconut water and hemp seeds and Viola! Did I mention they are very tasty!

I totally enjoy green smoothies! They are delicious to me. I tried to prep but since I am using frozen fruit right now I just pull the bag out of the freezer, add my handful of whatever and keep it moving. Fruit mixed with baby kale and fresh baby spinach is my favorite in either almond milk or coconut water! YUM!
Frozen fruit makes it a lot easier but I’m just a sucker for fresh fruit. LOL I plan to try kale and almond milk in my next batch of smoothies!
The baby kale is the BOMB!
