Style Chronicles: Vegas Nights

Las-Vegas-Fountain-StripI spent the weekend in Vegas with an amazing group of people and was able to take part in a dear friend’s “Birthday Soirée”.  I’ll spare you all the juicy details of the drunken Karaoke Night at the House of Blues; late night pit stops at the Double Down Saloon to sample their famous “Ass Juice Shots” (don’t even ask); cabana-style lounging at Caesars Palace’s Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis; and the private dinner party shenanigans at Sugar Factory’s Chocolate Lounge.  Let’s just say I had an effin’ awesome time!  Hey…you know the saying…“What happens in Vegas…”.

So, let’s get to the best part of the weekend festivities…THE FASHION. 🙂 The weather was perfect in Las Vegas which definitely called for simple, sexy and seductive attire. Peep the deets on my weekend fashion picks.

Friday night I kept it pretty simple and sexy and rocked a loose fitting, mint green,  slit back top from Necessary Clothing. I paired my top with white high-waisted shorts from H&M and a taupe colored pair of platform sandals from Aldo.  I kept it simple with the accessories and rocked a gold statement necklace, gold triangle stud earrings, gold stackable bangles and taupe mini leather clutch.  All accessories were purchased from Aldo Accessories, H&M & Forever21.

Saturday night I stepped out of my comfort-zone and went for a bold, seductive look.  I rocked a black double split maxi skirt (which I absolutely love!) from DeCordon Online Boutique. I paired it with a houndstooth crop top from Boohoo Online Store and chunky heel platform sandals from ShoeDazzle.  I kept it simple with the accessories for this outfit as well and rocked thick gold needle earrings and gold stackable bangles from Forever21 and Aldo.

I’m a firm believer of the saying “Less is More”.  If I’m wearing an eye-catching, stylish outfit I like to pair it with simple, yet attractive, accessories.  When it comes to “statement accessories” try not to overdo the accessorizing and stick to one or two statement pieces,  finishing it off with subtle accessories that compliment the look.  Overdoing statement accessories tend to take away from the clothing and give the illusion that you have way too much going onJust my two cents. 🙂
